West Herts College MasterCard advert

New Watford location spotted on TV! Okay, this isn’t all that new - I uploaded the video a little while ago. The only program I’ve seen this inbetween is the Tour de France on ITV4 and I’m not sure if it is running on any other channels.

MasterCard advert with sections filmed at West Herts College:

And look how many flights they managed to fit into one runway slot at Stanstead - who says we need airport expansion?

Watford On TV

Two spots of Watford on TV recently.

Easy Peasy Ecobeebies a half hour special for children’s channel cBeebies about recycling (iPlayer link) was filmed on the Cassiobury estate. I’d like to point out that I didn’t actually spot this, I just read about it in the Watford Observer, as I don’t make a habit of watching cBeebies.

And Watford town centre was used in episode 6 of Peepshow (see below, about 3 mins in).

This isn’t the first time Mitchell and Webb have filmed in Watford having shot in the town centre, old central baths and even at my school for the first series of That Mitchell and Webb Look.

Headcases

ITV’s headcases really is quite funny - a good alternative whilst Dead Ringer’s isn’t on.

Decent tv on five

I don’t normally watch five, but yesterday they actually had a decent 3 hours of TV.

The gadget show, which I missed, at 8 rather blatently tries a Top Gear approach to take what is a specialist program to a wider audience. At 9 it was the first episode in the rerun of the rather interesting Paul Merton in China (five’s version of Michael Palin obviously). And at 10 it was Dom Joly’s complainers. Consumer investigations mixed with pranks and a good deal of fun, my kind of progam.
