For nosy school friends

On Tuesday I went to see Quantum of Solace and found it disappointing - seemed to just be a load of action sequences bundled one after another between multiple Ford and Sony products.  Then we had a US election coffee party and celebrated Obama’s historic win with a McDonalds breakfast at 5:30am.

Tonight I went to see Fireworks at the Vale - the first time I have seen fireworks set to music.  Not as good as the ones in Cassiobury though, although there was a surprise interruption when some people entered the exclusion zone and the fireworks were stopped.  Also I met and chatted to Rob West from Ricky, the first time I have seen him at Birmingham.

Spreken zie Cymraeg?

Apparently 25,000 people in Argentina do.
Meanwhile, e-mails in the UK get lost in translation.

Want a big tank?

Just your typical spam then, want to buy a 2261 tonne oil tanker?

Ultimate source of happiness

“A quick trip to the pub for a pint has been replaced with surfing the web as the ultimate source of happiness, for men at least.”

Great Mysteries of the world

  • The Ferrari semi-automatic pit release system.

pureprofile Surveys

In the past few days I have been sent 3 surveys to complete from pureprofile - an online market research company that pays you to fill in questionnaires. Previously I might have been lucky if I got one a month - perhaps they have discovered I am now a student and suddenly my opinion is worth much more… or it may just be coincidence.

Most recent survey was about a tfl proposal to rent out Light Electric Vehicles, they look like normal pedal bikes but travel at upto 20mph with a 30 mile range…  interesting idea but they look quite strange.  Plus I don’t live in central London where I’m sure these would be positioned.

Flat 22

Photos taken badly using my laptop webcam. The resolution is shocking - I didn’t realise I could increase it until now.
