Web ad income upto May 2008

In May advertising revenues from GameMaker Blog were $11.54 + £5.00

Quite a low click-through ratio is being achieved with AdSense, when compared with the format installed on my Aidy Boothroyd soundboard, despite the fact that it is currently displaying ads for computer hardware, limo hire and loft conversions. I guess moving the ads above the fold so they are immediately visible when the GameMaker Blog loads could have a big effect on the number of clicks, so I have moved them above the ProjectWonderful ad which is sold by time period.

Earnings from my websites about Cassiobury Park and Stencyl for the past couple of months can be seen below - the revenue is all from a company called Matched which pay £3 for each page they can match an ad to per month (up to a maximum of 5 pages).

It’s hot

I managed to recover my passwords simply by renaming a file storing profile information.

It’s hot. Why must exams always take place around weather that both encourages you to go outdoors and not revise, and makes it hard to concentrate?

Formula1 look to change safety car rules which were obviously flawed, but only after Hamilton runs the red light.

My life is falling away

For some unknown reason my browser, K-Meleon, decided to reset all my preferences and delete all my saved passwords.

Very helpful. I can actually see the file with the passwords in it sitting in the correct folder, but it seems to have taken it upon itself to create a new file and use that instead. I’ve got no idea why. Maybe I can trick it into referencing the old file….

Settlers 2

Earlier this week I reinstalled Settlers 2 after not playing if for a good few years and appear to have become addicted again.   Took me a while to remember all the concepts, but after a couple of hours play I remembered almost everything.  Hurrah for old games.

digitaluk

Today I took part in a market research survey for Ofcom about the digital switchover. Fun.

They didn’t even ask what channels I watched.
